How it all started...
The Greater Detroit metropolitan region is one of the largest and most diverse in North America. The economic and population growth in the region has rebounded in recent years. The area is anchored by the city of Detroit, as well as six other major cities. Seven of Michigan's ten largest cities are in the Greater Detroit metropolitan region.
The Detroit Metro District formed in 2021 after years of vision, prayer, and planning. Originally part of the Michigan District, ministers and pastors in the the Detroit Metro area envisioned having a greater impact in the harvest of the metropolitan area with its unique demographics and urban culture. We continue to focus our efforts on initiatives to strengthen churches and ministers, equip leaders, and plant churches throughout the area.
